Italian out-of-the-box
Italian shoppers have their own expectations: PayPal and digital wallets for fast checkout, address autocomplete that saves time, and convenient pickup and home delivery options. Loki Checkout covers all three out of the box—because it’s built for the way people shop in Italy.
Simple Italian settings that just work
The Italian country module adds practical validation and country-specific settings for Italian addresses (so, addresses with the country set to Italy). For example, the fields are sorted and sized in such a way that it makes more sense (which is something you can change later).
The postcode is validated on the client side using Magento's built-in validation rules. If the postcode is invalid, the form provides immediate feedback, allowing customers to correct typos before any data is sent to the server.
Ready for Italian regulation
Doing e-commerce in Italy requires you to follow strict rules within the checkout. You don't need to do a lot of research in how our Magento checkout can be fitting into your Italy-specific business case. We have covered most parts already. Prego.
Partita IVA
European VAT IDs can be validated with our core modules LokiCheckout_EuVat, which includes regular VIES checks plus vatlayer as a fallback. The field label is automatically translated into "Partita IVA" using our Italian language pack. We also offer Geissweb compatibility.
Codice Fiscale
With our generic LokiCheckout TaxCodeAttribute module, a tax code attribute can be added to the quote address and displayed as a field in the checkout. With the Italian language pack, this is translated to "Codice Fiscale" to comply with Italian business owners expect.
SDI fields
Optionally, a SDI recipient code (Codice Destinatario) and a PEC (Posta Elettronica Certificata) can be added via the module LokiCheckout_SdiIt. With VAT ID validation, it is not necessarily needed, but some business require this functionality.
