The French country module adds practical validation and country-specific settings for French addresses (so, addresses with the country set to France). For example, the fields are sorted and sized in such a way that it makes more sense (which is something you can change later).

The postcode is validated on the client side using Magento's built-in validation rules. If the postcode is invalid, the form provides immediate feedback, allowing customers to correct typos before any data is sent to the server.
